Introduce yourself for those who don’t know you, who are you, where are you from and what do you do?
Well my name is Ulisan, but everyone calls me Lisa. I am a Youtuber, everyone labels it as being a content creator nowadays so I guess you can say thats what I am. I am fashion enthusiast and a long time shopaholic. I’m from London! But originally from Nigeria.
What was your earliest fashion/beauty memory/story?
My earliest fashion memory is back to when I was a pre teen, I remember being in my grandma’s house one time and coming across my Auntie’s Vogue magazine with Reese Witherspoon on the cover (I have no idea why I remember this) I had never seen any magazines like that before all I used to read was sugar magazine and tv guide (laughs). Flicking through the pages, I absolutely fell in love and I never looked back, I’ve been obsessed with everything fashion since that day!
So then what made you want to start a YouTube channel?
Well to be totally honest I had enough of talking to myself in the mirror about new clothes I had bought! I have been obsessed with Youtube since I was 16 and pretending to be Youtuber in my mirror since then! So when the time came it was just natural, I had to do it. I was also dealing with a lot of disappointment and confusion to do with my course at Uni at the time and I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life, so Youtube became a welcome distraction. It only felt right!
What’s your number 1 beauty/fashion tip?
Number 1 beauty tip, flawless base always and know your face! Number one fashion tip, wear what you want!
What advice would you give to other content creators?
Advice to other content creators, firstly I SEE YOU SHINING A! looooool but seriously keep at it, I’m in no position to give advice to anyone because I’m so far from where I want to be, but keep going. The devil will have you believe that everything you’re doing is not good enough, DON’T LISTEN IT IS! and most importantly BE YOURSELF, always, people will recognise and appreciate that.
Where would you like to be in a couple years time and what can RB gang do to help you get there?
Oh wow this one is so tough I have so many dreams! probably because my head is so big. But hopefully a full time youtuber with my own businesses ( coming soon to a screen near you ) but most importantly hopefully I can be actively help and inspiring other young women out there that whatever it is they want to do it, they should DO IT. So corny but I would love to have made a some sort of difference by then, I don’t just want to be another female youtuber with endorsements and money but only helping herself, I’m always looking out for the woman behind me. My dream is bigger than me. I never want to forget that. Keep supporting me pretty please!
