Fredo kicks off Tiffany Calver’s Freestyle series
Tiffany Calver, the new voice of Radio 1Xtra’s rap show, kicked off her Freestyle series last night with special guest Fredo.
Having recently released his debut album “Third Avenue”, Fredo effortless comes hard with the bars, delivering heartfelt lyrics the succinct and nonchalant way that has earned him all the accolades thus far.
Almost one month into her new slot (Saturdays, 9-11pm on BBC 1 and 1Xtra), the 24 year old is no new face in the scene, having supported Fredo as his DJ she is also set to support Drake on tour in 2019.
Tiffany Calver has been named as the new host of The Rap Show on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra (Saturdays, 9-11pm). The 24 year-old Hip-Hop DJ is the newest young face to join the Radio 1 and 1Xtra family.
Associated with some of the hottest acts in the UK scene, Tiffany has worked with the likes of SHO (the collective who recently launched their record label with a Jevon x KidaKudz collab) on club nights in London.
Originally from Telford, the DJ stated ““I’m honoured to be taking over the slot that has pretty much soundtracked my life. I look forward to carrying on the legacy of such a prestigious and highly respected show while also having the opportunity to add my own flavour (and sound effects) to it. This is a new beginning in so many ways; dreams really can come true.”
