Eva Apio

Eva Apio is one of our biggest girl crushes. The model and aspiring physiotherapist/entrepreneur has a to-die-for complexion and the ambition to match. We spoke to her about the the future, Matte Brand and more.

Introduce yourself for those who don’t know, who are you and what do you do?

Bonjour! My names Eva Apio and I’m a model / student . I’ve been modelling from a young age.

How did you get started with modelling?

I started modelling through my mother as she was a model . She modelled for Viva Model Mgmt in Berlin, at first I liked it then I got to the age of 13 and realised I didn’t wanna be like mum because we have the same name and I didn’t wanna model too.

I kept getting remarks from other people about me starting modelling so I said I’d give it a go again. At 16, once I finished my GCSEs I went to Scotland for a residential trip, my dad called me one day saying an agency wanted me to come in as soon as I came back.. When I got back to London, I went to see Zone models which is my current Agency , I left the building for 5 minutes and they called me back saying they wanted to sign me . I’ve been with them for nearly a year now and it’s been a good stepping stone for me, I’ve gained more experience & improved as a model .

Is this what you wanna do forever?

This is not what I wanna do forever,  I just want to do it part time. I want to pursue a career in sport physiotherapy as I have a keen interest about knowing how the human model manufacturers & reacts to sports as well as injury .

What’s it been like working with sick boss girls like Briana of Matte Brand?

Working with Briana was great , I mean me and her are very close friends now and we talk nearly everyday . After shooting with her I woke up one morning and my instagram was blowing up with comments from people around the world , it was all overwhelming at first but I got the gist of it after . She was a wonderful soul to work with and we have a great friendship.

What’s been the best thing you’ve worked on thus far?

I can’t list the best thing I’ve worked for as juggling college and modelling is difficult as my bookers have to fit shoots around me so I don’t really work much I suppose.

Where would you like to be in 5 years and how can we (the roniebond community or anyone reading this) help you get there?

In 5 years I wanna be owning my own physiotherapy clinic and if I’m still modelling I wanna either be signed to multiple agencies.
