Believe in your brand

You need to put yourself out there all the time. As much as possible. You need to make sure that people remember you, and your brand. You shouldn’t care if you are promoting yourself 10 times in a day, 20 times in a day or 100 times in a day. It is your brand and your brand is your baby. You should be your own biggest cheerleader and supporter. With the power that social media has these days, there is no excuse! Are y’all forgetting that social media is FREE? That means that a little self-exposure, a lil’ self-promo literally takes nothing away from you. Now, I’m not going to sit here and tell you that it is an easy task, because as I mentioned at the top of the page, it’s not.

All content creators probably know what it feels like to not want to release content, the days when we lack inspiration or when we compare ourselves to experts in the game and we begin to feel inadequate. What we need to remember is that those experts were once beginners.


Keep the momentum going. Saweetie wasn’t playing when she said “can’t stop, won’t stop, get gwop.” Consistency is needed when it comes to businesses and branding, it’s pretty much an unspoken golden rule. However, sometimes, consistency gets confused with releasing poor content frequently. Let me tell you this for free, that ain’t it!

You don’t want to be known as that person who is forever releasing mediocre content. Set the bar high for yourself. That’s what consistency is about. Be obsessed with quality, not quantity.

Knowledge of your market/field

You need to know 3 very important things:

  1. Who is your target audience?
  2. Who can you connect and network with?
  3. Who is your competition?

A clear understanding of your target audience will help you brand yourself appropriately. Capture your audience and you’re winning.


The most underrated thing is patience. They say Rome wasn’t built in a day and they’re not wrong. Patience means taking your time. Patience can also refer to being patient with people; it’s going to take a while before people start to recognise you or invest in you, but with time, they will. Try not to be disheartened by the process, trust it instead.
